Studies show that sexual violence incidents have little to do with someone’s clothing choice or how they look.
Instead, such crimes are motivated by power and control.

Is someone’s choice of clothing the reason why they are sexually assaulted?

DON’T TELL ME HOW TO DRESS
#DontTellMeHowToDress is a creative movement against gender-based violence. We raise public awareness on sexual harassment and assault, tackle social acceptance of violence against women, promote a culture of consent and mutual respect, and advocate for survivor-centered care and support systems.
To combat all forms of violence, we work in partnership with governments, businesses and civil society through awareness-raising campaigns and activities.
The #DontTellMeHowToDress exhibition, which was launched in 2018 and features clothing worn by survivors of sexual violence, aims to bring the myths and realities of gender-based violence into focus to spark dialogue and inspire meaningful action to put an end to gender-based violence.
The art installation has been showcased across Asia including the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand reaching tens of thousands of people.
